Source language | Language of the original text.

Target language | Language of the translation.

CAT analysis rate | Basic rate (per 1 word) used when analysing the job using the CAT (computer aided translation) software Wordfast. In such a case, the source text is analysed using a translation memory (provided by the client or a blank one), so that the repetitions and/or similarities in the source text are duly reflected in the final price. This price is usually lower than the price calculated using the normal rate (see below) if the translated text (or a set of texts) contains repeated sentences. If for example you have to translate two user guides for two similar products, all the sentences common to both the texts contribute to a price reduction for your job. Coefficients used when calculating the CAT price: 100 % (analogy rate under 75 per cent), 65 % (analogy rate from 75 to 94 per cent), 45 % (analogy rate from 95 to 99 per cent), 30 % (exact matches).

Normal rate | Basic rate (per 1000 words) calculated based on the number of words in the source text. As virtually all the jobs are translated using Wordfast (see the "CAT analysis rate" above), the source text must be always in electronic form. In other words, scanned texts must be converted into electronic form before further processing. A surcharge of € 1.00 per page of scanned text (or the text sent by a FAX) is applicable in such cases.

Express rate | This rate applies to all jobs to be completed within 24 hours after their submission by the client. Further this rate applies to any jobs, if the date of their completion requires that more than 3000 words have to be translated per day (including the date of submission by the client, excluding the date of submission of the completed translation by the translator).
